Meet Joey Corcoran

"I offer a safe and trusting relationship to support your journey.  First and foremost, I listen.  I want to hear what's happening with you.  In addition to my counseling training, I draw on body-based practices that can bring a fresh view to stress and anxiety.   My approach can help restore your resiliency in the midst of life-changing events. 

 Joey's presence and support is deeply compassionate, respectful and empowering, and has been an invaluable support to my learning and personal healing journey with Somatic Experiencing.  I have referred several of my clients and friends to Joey.  They have been most grateful for the work they have been able to do with her.

    * Experience as a Hospice Volunteer with VNA's Hospice of the
       Champlain Valley

       Medical Center
    * Experience as an environmental advocate, teacher, and youth
       program coordinator
    * Her own personal growth work
She loves hiking, gardening, dancing and dogs!
Joey has completed:
* MA in Counseling Psychology
* MA in Environmental Studies
* Certification as Somatic Experiencing Practitioner 
* Unit of Clinical Pastoral Education
* Six 10-day silent meditation retreats
   She has been working as a psychotherapist for five years.



Joey works individually with adults and offers Mindful Rest groups.
